Bob Fischer is the President of Accurate Performance Machining (APM), Inc. The declining years of the aerospace industry was an opportunity for Mr. Fischer. With his personal funds and his business experience, Mr. Fischer started his own company during that time. He and a partner founded APM in 1996 after working for over 25 years in the aerospace industry. Currently, Mr. Fischer APM manufactures machine shop products for companies in the aerospace industry such as Parker, Smiths, Whitaker, Ancra, Goodrich and others. Under Mr. Fischer’s guidance, the company has been growing at a very consistent pace. As a result, his company provides job opportunities to 19 individuals, many of them Santa Ana residents. Mr. Fischer’s educational attainments include a Master’s in Business Administration from West Coast University and an Engineering Degree from UC Santa Barbara. Because of his great interest in the business community coupled with his qualifications, he was appointed to the Workforce Investment Board where he sits on the Employer and Customer Service Committee. He feels the need to give back to the community by staying involved in the policy-making procedures that help Santa Ana businesses as well as the community as a whole.
