Our Board | Officers | Clarence W. “Buddy” Ray
Clarence W. “Buddy” Ray is the Executive Director for the private nonprofit Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC). In this role, he is the chief executive officer responsible for all operations and administration for an agency that has been helping people and changing lives for more than 41 years in Orange County. Mr. Ray has been with agency for more than 22 years. CAPOC provides a variety of emergency services and capacity building programs that enable the poor to meet basic needs, and develop the knowledge and skills to move out of poverty. Mr. Ray is an active member of the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board. He has served on the Board since its inception in March 2000, and is also a member of the board’s Employer and Customer Service Committee. Mr. Ray joined the Board due to its work in funding programs that serve the most needy and disadvantaged – he has always believed in helping individuals in need, and in improving their lives. In addition to serving on the Santa Ana WIB, Mr. Ray also serves on the Anaheim and Orange County Workforce Investment Boards, and has also served on the Orange County Emergency Food & Shelter Board, the Orange County Childcare & Development Planning Council, and other local, statewide and national organizations.
