John Didion is the Executive Vice Chancellor for the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD). Mr. Didion joined the Rancho Santiago Community College District team in 1997. In 1998, he was asked to represent the District on the Private Industry Council of Santa Ana, which was later legislatively replaced by the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board. With his 21 years of community college experience, Mr. Didion brings to RSCCD and the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board (WIB) a great wealth of job training development expertise. As a former Executive Director of the Private Industry Council for Southeast Los Angeles County, Mr. Didion recognizes the importance of collaborative efforts the college district has with the local chamber of commerce and the City. In fact, under Mr. Didion’s leadership, the College and other local government agencies have successfully partnered on various projects -- some of the examples of joint-effort curriculum development include: the Sheriff Academy, St. Joseph Hospital Nursing Program, and the Small Business Development Centers. After earning his journalism degree at University of Southern California, Mr. Didion worked six years as a proposal and technical writer for a transportation engineering firm. Mr. Didion also serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the United States.
