Maryann Conway is a Supervisor for the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), housed at the Santa Ana DOR office. She has been employed by the State since January 1995, moving from the ranks for a Rehabilitation Counselor, to Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, to into an administrative level of Contract Administrator, to Supervisor within a 10-year period. During this time period, Ms. Conway has served on various employment and training committees for both the State of California and the local district (Orange San Gabriel District). Ms. Conway enjoys exploring new strategies striving to improve outreach activities for youth with disabilities and businesses. Ms. Conway earned her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Diego State University in December 1999. She completed a Certificate in Rehabilitation Administration in June 2007. Ms. Conway earned her Certification for Rehabilitation Counseling in October 2000 from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC). Ms. Conway has been an advocate for individuals with disabilities for over 25 years. Her primary interests encompass helping individuals with disabilities to become wage earners so they feel like a contributing member of their community. By keeping this mindset in the forefront, this trend is a win-win situation for the taxpayers of California.
