Michael Metzler has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Santa Ana Business Alliance, formerly, the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, since January 1983.  He directs all activities of the Alliance, including its political action committee and charitable foundation subsidiaries.  He’s led many pro-business/pro-community initiatives in the city.  Mr. Metzler founded the Alliance’s nationally recognized newspaper, CityLine.  He sits on many local, regional, state and national boards and committees.  He is the past Chairman of the WIB from 2000 – 2004 and currently serves on the Executive Committee.  Mr. Metzler is a founder and member of the board of the Santa Ana Business Bank, and also serves on the board of Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded hospital management company that owns the two hospitals in Santa Ana.  In 2006, Mr. Metzler was one of two California business executives, and one of just thirty nationwide, selected for a Ford Foundation Fellowship in Regionalism and Sustainable Development.  He graduated from California State University, Fullerton, and attended Loyola University School of Law and the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont University.  He is a longtime Santa Ana resident.
