Our Board | Youth Council | David Dobos

David Dobos has been an educator at Santa Ana College since 1973. He received his Master Degree in Sociology from San Diego State University. Before coming to Santa Ana College, he was a family counselor for female adolescent wards of the court at the Boys and Girls Aide Society in San Diego. While at SAC, he has taught Sociology and Psychology and has been a department chair, a facilitator, a program director, an assistant dean, the dean of students, and a division dean. While he is currently teaching classes in sociology, he has been active as a volunteer and as an appointed representative in community affairs in the city of Santa Ana for over 20 years. Mr. Dobos is a founding board member of the Friends of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services. He has represented the College on the Latino Health Access Advisory Board and has been on the executive committee for the annual Santa Ana Youth Expo, the Children’s Holiday Party, the Jazz Festival, the Black History Parade, and the Mariachi Festival. For the past four years, he has been in charge of the logistics of the American Cancer for Life for the city of Santa Ana. Mr. Dobos is one of the original members of the Youth Council since its inception back in September 2000.
