Priscila C. Zúñiga has extensive professional experience in the field of social work. However, her exposure and interest in social work began in 1996. At that time, she was volunteering her time with Volunteer in Probation (VIP) program where she visited and mentored minors housed in the drug program unit. Her applied knowledge began in 2001 working out of La Familia Drug Abuse Center in Santa Ana where she was a Prevention Specialist. She assisted in the development of a new tobacco prevention program as well as provided Life Skills Curriculum to student groups and leadership councils at various schools. In her current capacity as an Early Childhood Liaison at the Orange County Department of Education she manages a caseload with pregnant/parenting teens attending alternative education and links teen parents with appropriate resources. Ms. Zúñiga earned a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine.
